CREATE AND VERIFY YOUR ACCOUNT IN GOOGLE MY BUSINESS

We can't overemphasize how important it is to have a page on Google My Business in order to improve your local SEO.

When you fill out your profile, your business information will be available to appear on Google searches on Google+ and Google Maps. That is, there are more chances of appearing in searches carried out by users. And when your business to appear in searches can do it on a map, display your phone number and reviews of other buyers are included if you have them.

If you also have a website, it may happen that your company appears twice in the top results: once with your site and other Google data with My Business. 

Therefore, it is vital to fill well in My Profile Business, keep it updated and encourage your customers to leave their opinion there.

Google My Business is not the only way to improve local searches. There are other directories that need to sign up.

These directories will change depending on the country or city in which we find ourselves where we are. In USA, for example, you can use ThomasNet, Whitepages, Foursquare, and  Hotfrog.

It is also advisable to register the business in other sector-specific directories. For example, if you work in tourism do not forget to create a profile on TripAdvisor.

Be consistent in all directories and Google My Business. Make sure you always use the same company name, address, phone. Avoid duplicate records, records with old names or misspelled ...

 

ADAPT YOUR WEBSITE TO MOBILE

This part is not so simple for small businesses, but searches for phones that do not stop growing, we can not ignore.

Searches from mobile devices are especially relevant when speaking of local SEO, as we often are in the street or in public transport when we search.
